ECHOES . . . dream logic improv troupe . . . Journey down the rabbit hole with us where big characters may find themselves in a Hemmingway novel, or encounter the Third Degree or spontaneously morph characters. Our performance is a trippy, weird, improv festival of its own. Hard to describe, but fascinating to watch. Visceral in nature with pure group mind, performances are designed to give the audience a dreamlike experience where unique characters meet and mingle in scenes that organically morph one into the other. Our style can be described as improvised comedic experimental theater. It’s radically different improv. You’ll be amazed.
OUR BEGINNINGS in 2018: The ECHOES first coalesced from stardust that sprinkled out of the JTS Brown ‘form.’ Bringing back her excitement after attending a JTS Brown training workshop with Craig Cackowski in Yosemite, Carolyn Cole proposed forming a Triangle group to learn its strange permutations. This ‘non-form’ form was mainly a west coast thing. So we arranged to practice online for a few months with Craig Cackowski. (Craig’s the person most associated with the JTS Brown since 1999 when the form began.) We launched in February 2018 and performed through 2019. We evolved from the original JTS Brown into our own form which we called DreamLogic. Our coach became Jeris Donovan and our movement coach, Anne Deloria.
